At Compass Immunology Clinic, we are committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care in a safe and respectful environment for all patients, visitors, clinicians, and staff. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations we have of everyone within our clinics, to ensure a professional, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere at all times.
We ask that all interactions – whether in person, via phone, or in writing – are conducted with courtesy and respect. Our team of doctors, nurses, and administrative staff are dedicated to supporting patients through complex care journeys and deserve to work in an environment free from abuse or discrimination.
The following behaviours will not be tolerated:
- Swearing at or around staff or other patients
- Abusive, intimidating, or offensive language
- Verbal or physical threats
- Racist, discriminatory, or derogatory remarks
- Attending appointments while intoxicated by drugs and/or alcohol
- Damaging or stealing property
- Harassment or disruptive behaviour that impacts staff, patients, or clinic operations
- Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate communication via email, phone, SMS, or social media
Consequences of unacceptable behaviour:
- Any individual who engages in the above behaviours may be asked to leave the premises immediately.
- Ongoing care may be discontinued, and the patient’s care transferred back to their referring GP.
- Communication may be ceased, and further correspondence will only be accepted through formal written channels.
